Learn the Piano! Lessons in Berkhamsted and district now available! Only pupils between the ages of 5 and 90 need apply. Adult beginners and adult players wishing to learn to improvise and to play socially and for pleasure are especially welcome. Lessons will provide a broad and practical understanding of music - the aim is to achieve fluency and an intelligent ear: Learn a tune quickly by ear Harmonise a tune on the keyboard Play with good rhythmic feel Reading of music will be learned according to the pupil’s needs - the ear and the hands will be the main focus. Lessons can be given in your own home, or in my studio in central Berkhamsted. Fees as follows: In Pupil’s home: £40 per 1 hour lesson; £25 per half hour lesson. In my studio: £30 per 1 hour lesson; £20 per half hour lesson. Tuition in harmony, vocal coaching for auditions and lessons in the Alexander Technique are also available. About me I’ve been playing music for over 40 years. I have a Bachelor of Music degree.I have performed as a professional musician and actor and written music for radio, theatre and television in the United Kingdom and Canada for over 35 years. I’ve been a qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique for 17 years. I have three sons (13,15,and 27) all of whom love to play music, sometimes all together!
